our book club list. and more metta spaghetta

I love this picture.  It's metta's favorite pose.  she looked like this in utero for every ultrasound, even.  One hand on top of her head. Even on the night of delivery- they were worried about her hand coming first and causing dislocation!  I'm pretty sure it's her diva pose.

ever since metta became 'unbroken'- this three kid thing has been really nice :) really. those first bad weeks were BAD, so bad.  I wanted to give up. but then metta was somehow got better- and we've never looked back.
I was pretty surprised at the ease of the transition. I'd heard horror stories about the 2 to 3 change.  But Zeb and Ike are best pals and great boys- so adding metta has been pretty seamless.   Maybe because I just drag her around and make her take morning naps at the gym- and afternoon naps whenever we happen to get home- and I put her to bed when I'm tired of having three :)  but she's a good sport- and a great little ragamuffin!!
plus- those CRAZY eyes.  they make having three more bearable :)
and yes- I'll admit it- I was secretly hoping for a third boy- but there's something pretty fun about having a girl after two boys.  you know- like I've finally got someone on my side.

she doesn't have to be super girly or ALL about pink and bows and flowers all of the time.
our little miss is still in the 80th percentile for height! eek. she's going to be taller than her brothers!! 26.5 inches.  and she weighed in at 14 lbs 13 ounces today!  with a relatively unremarkable renal ultrasound- which means we just wait to see if she gets any more UTIs before before we take further action.

and for all of you readers out here- I just started a Book Club- and here's our first list of books to choose from if anybody is in need of a good read!  I've read several already- but I'm excited to try some of the new ones!!  any opinions on which three I should vote to read?  I just finished "The Fault in Our Stars" in one sitting and REALLY enjoyed it. and Unbroken is one of my favorites of all time!!

what no fifty shades on there! She is growing so well and is so cute. She looks just like the boys did at this age, glad things have settled and are coming together nicely, always makers for a happy mummy when that happens, keep enjoying the summer it will be fall all too soon

She is so cute.
There are so many good books on this list!
I loved:
The Handmaid's Tale was such an intriguing book. I really loved it.
The Red Tent was really interesting.
The Year of Living Biblically there is so much that could be discussed from this book, and he was really funny and informative.

I want to read The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands.
I'm going to check to see what else from your list I want to read. Thanks for posting this!

I just read Outliers and loved it. But I don't recommend Devil in the White City (too gruesome) or Guernsey Literary yada yada (although lots of people disagree with me, it was just too formulaic for my taste). But Happy Reading! Wish I could be in your group!

Oh MY!! She is the prettiest baby EVER! What a beauty!!!!! Thanks so much for posting all the cute faces and poses of that pretty Metta.

That's an awesome book list. I haven't read most of them. :) I DID think that Love Languages and Love Languages for Children were pretty redundant - they are ALMOST the same book. The Red Tent was really weird - but, still interesting, I guess. Be prepared for major TMI. haha. I love your book recommendations. :)

And I love that Metta-girl!
