ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I know everybody is so sick of looking at my mouth- but I need help (and if you really don't want to see strange things you should have stopped reading my blog a long time ago). I am in so much pain. I have had THE worst mouth luck lately. I have the most INSANE canker sore. The pain is unbearable at this point. I've got the numbing stuff, I'm dousing it with hydrogen peroxide, and I'm taking 600 milligrams of ibuprofen regularly. What else can I do? does anybody have some sure fire way of getting rid of these things? Am I immuno-compromised or something? it's been here for SIX days- and it's GROWING.
Every time I get one of these things I remember- THERE'S NOTHING WORSE THAN A CANKER SORE. My tongue won't stop touching it, when I eat- it KILLS, and even when I talk my teeth rub against it and I want to die.

That looks so painful! I have heard that Lysine helps with those kinds of things. My aunt swears by one a day.

We've used Lysine also, and B-complex. Eat lots of salads (with onions). No sugar. Sorry, it does look painful. I am on the 3rd round of antibiotics for a tooth infection. I feel your mouth pain!

ew.that's huge. they last at least a full week- most of the time for 10 days or so. try baking soda water.

My husband has the same problem the only thing he has found that helps is Listerine He gargles it daily and it cuts back on them and healing time. Also you can get some special toothpaste that is better for you since you seem to be prone to getting them I will try to find it for you. Sometimes it is caused by eating nuts at least in our family. SO look at your diet around the time you get them gargle and pray good luck!

I have also heard that Lysine is the thing. I hear that you are suppose to take a few if you think that your getting one or if you already have one and you can also take it reguarly as a supplement to help ward off any future break outs, good luck!

Hi! I'm Laney's friend and I sometimes read your blog! Whenever I got canker sores as a kid my mom made me gargle with salt water. She also said I got it from eating too many sweets. Who knows if either of those mom-isms are really true or not, but i thought i would pass on the info.

This will hurt something awful but swish salt water in your mouth or I am a brave one and put salt directly on the cold sore. You will probibly scream or cry but it goes away pretty quick. good luck;)

OUCHIE!!! I had a huge one like that right where my teeth met on the side of my mouth. It was torture and it really lasted a full week or more. I heard breaking up aspirin and rubbing it right on the canker helps. Or apple cider vinegar? I chickened out of both of those online remedies because some people said it made it worse and I couldn't imagine anything more horrible than it getting worse. I probably should've been braver!! Good luck!

3% peroxide

Take one capful (the little white cap that comes with the bottle) and hold in your mouth for 10 minutes daily, then spit it out. (I do it when I bathe)

No more canker sores and your teeth will be whiter without expensive pastes. Use it instead of mouthwash. (Small print says mouth wash and gargle right on the bottle)

there you go- I just got an email about 3% peroxide and all the awesome stuff it does. Let me know if it works.

This will sound really weird and I've never actually used it myself but my brother was raised using it...Mylanta and Benedryl. You mix equal parts...like a 1-2 TBS of both and then gargle with it. Don't swallow There is something about the mixture that promotes quicker healing and it's a numbing agent. Good luck...hopefully it gets better...it looks painful!

Since I've never had one I can't empathize with you. All of the remedies sound good. Sorry you have to have that, it does look real painful.

So sorry for you. That's painful for you. I know the remedy! Come home and let your mother take care of you.

I agree with the baking soda or mouthwash gargle and avoid milk and sugar.

It really may be an allergy--I agree with monitoring your diet. Daysa breaks out in cold sores when she has a food reaction.
