food.

I need your help.  While I don't mind cooking, baking, making food, etc., I detest FINDING great new recipes to use.  I'm one of those "top ten" dinner gals. I have my top ten and we eat them A LOT!  So, I've been scouring the web looking for the best recipe blogs out there.  I'm looking for those tried and true recipes that are guaranteed to be a hit.  Dinners, desserts, breakfasts, cookies, whatEVER.  What is your favorite recipe/cooking blog? I feel like I've exhausted my resources and I just need some fresh ideas.
Some of my favorites are:
and, of course,

next month's cooking group is on meal planning. I like to look at cookbooks/magazines to get ideas. I have been trying out tons of new recipes the last 2 months. Some are not as good and others rock but it is nice to find a bunch of new recipes you like. Joy of Cooking is a great cookbook.

You need to get the cookbook called 'Favorites'. The only place you can get it is through Make-A-Wish Foundation in Utah, if you go to their website, you can order it there. It's THE best cookbook around. It's one if those 'go to' cookbooks where everything in it is good, not just a few here and there. And, it's all just normal stuff. Nothing fancy, but not all casseroles. I promise you'd love it!!

And I'm sure you've heard of pioneerwoman.com. She has a few good ones.

(hope it's not creepy that I read your blog. I'm a friend of McKenna's. Your boys are cute, and our kids are about the same age.)

I love Everyday Food, the magazine. I especially love their grocery bag section, where they give you the shopping list and the week's worth of menus. They don't all work for our family, but it's a great place to start. Like you, I don't mind cooking, but I had getting the ideas for WHAT to cook.

And by "had getting", I mean "hate getting." I just doesn't make sense the first way.

That's funny you should blog on this today--Daysa just told me this morning that all of my crockpot dinners now taste the same and your Dad agreed! HA! Fix your own dinners--what am I? your maid or cook or something?

I couldn't help but think if you're tired of cooking dinner everynight now, what are you going to feel like in 10 years from now? That's a LOT of dinners.

Can't wait to see you all this summer.

here is an actual recipe I just made...it was delightful. We didn't do the sesame oil part because I forgot, and it was still good. you could probably use powdered ginger instead of fresh, we used the kind from a jar.

and another recipe we just made that is amazing and easy (although its a treat and not a meal:

we used air popped corn and it was just as good with a little extra salt
