Happy Thanksgiving!!

Our feast was a bounty one today! It's insane to spend so much time cooking and so little time eating but I loved doing our own big dinner this year. We had so much good food. Everything turned out spectacularly. We filled up on cheese balls early in the day- but by three we were ready to eat again! The jello salad, potato rolls, and sweet potatoes were my favorite. Laney put some weird stuff in the stuffing (just so we didn't miss mum too much) and Taylor did homemade cranberry sauce. The turkey was moist thanks to Rachael Ray and the cranberry splash drink hit the spot. I think that Zeb ate seven rolls-no turkey though. I am feeling especially stuffed still (four hours later)- but I fault the fetus for that because I don't feel like I ate as much as usual.

One of the highlights of the day was the turkey shaped butter that Laney and Taylor brought all the way from Buffalo in a cooler. I can't wait for leftovers tomorrow!!!!

I agree, crazy. i spent 3 days making food that we ate for 20 min. But atleast we had great friends over so we sat at the table and talked for an hour so it felt like a better ratio. also they helped clean up and that was great!Wish we could have been with you guys. last year was so fun!

Thanks for the yummy jello recipe, it was great...Looks like those 2 little babies will have some fun this weekend! I love the butter! We always have one shaped like a lamb at Easter, except for the time Amy dropped something on it and squished it! Too funny!

Looks awesome, you guys!! Way-ta-go! I told Tyler the other day that I wonder if we will ever learn how to make gravy on our own? haha. Even when we have dinner at our place - I have Mom or Dad make the gravy. Otherwise - we don't get gravy.

We made an INCREDIBLE turkey this year. Well - I use the "we" liberally, because really - Tyler did all of it. It was deelish. We did the "Good Eats" brined turkey (I think it's similar to Rachel Ray's.

Leisy - you look absolutely adorable. My face and nose always seem to double and triple in size when I'm expecting.

LOVED your comment, Kent! hahahaha :)

Can't wait to see you guys! And I miss that Zebby so SO SO much!

I just have to say you look really good in that picture, especially for being almost 7 months pregnant. For a second I was thinking, "why is Laney posing with Kent?!"

I love that turkey butter! Gobble, gobble. Jack and I talked about turkeys a lot yesterday, but he refused to eat any.

Leisy!!! How the heck are ya?? So, I have been wanting to write you and say hi and I've been terrible cause I haven't done it. Laney said this is the best way to get a hold of you. So, I just wanted to say hi! And how exciting there is going to be a little Zeb Jr. running around soon!! Congratulations! Also, I wanted to tell you that I'm engaged! I'm getting married Dec. 27th! I want you to send me your address so I can send you an announcement.
It was fun looking at your pictures, tell Kent hi for me and hug little Zeb for me too! Send me an email when you get a min, and tell me how you've been and send your address. My email is mcfarlaneka@gmail.com
Take care! I miss you and Toledo, I absolutely loved serving there. My fiance is actually applying there for Med school...so who knows, how crazy would that be if I moved back there!!!
Have you seen George lately? I heard that he moved back to Toledo.
Have a good day!!
