Book Club

Tonight Leisy has left Zeb and me to go to book club to discuss one of my all time favorite books. It's hard not to feel jealous when she gets to read of the ignominy of Hester Prynne, the burning guilt of Arthur Dimsdale, the ruthless hatred of Roger Chillingworth, and the mischievous innocence of Pearl while I'm stuck at home studying all the hundreds of ways bacteria can evade our natural defenses and make us sick! Luckily for me Zeb was an angel baby tonight; he came to me to have his diaper changed and giggled when I put him in bed. He's trying to make up for last night I guess. It helped that Leisy actually told him she was leaving and gave him a kiss goodbye.

Enough blogging for me. I have buckets of studying to finish. I'll end my blog with a quote from The Scarlet Letter and include a cute picture of Zeb for all of those who thought this was the most boring blog entry ever!

"A bodily disease, which we look upon as whole and entire within itself, may, after all, be but a symptom of some ailment in the spiritual part."

Zeb reading some of HIS favorite books!

Me too!! Me too!! That certainly was NOT a boring post at all! Your favorite books though ... sheesh ... you pick the boring ones. ;) hahaha. Maybe I need to try The Scarlet Letter again - but, seriously - I didn't even LIKE it last time I read it. Zeb looks so calm and curious in his book reading ... just like you always did! Best luck in the studying...it's all totally above my head. We've been healthy for a long time now - and I am SO SO grateful for that. Missing and loving you so much!

I'm impressed that your favorite book is The Scarlet Letter. I loved it when I read it, and I'm always looking for good things to read. I'll give it another go. Also, not a boring post.

no way, that's your favorite book! i'm going to have to reread it as an adult and give it another try. I liked it, but I'm not sure it would be my FAVORITE. Hmmm...

Our book group is reading Jane Eyre and I just finished it. i'm super stoked to talk about it. I've read it before, but this time I really LOVED it!
