updates

Today we took our run outside and were met by this. I'm kinda devastated. It's going to take quite awhile for the water to subside- and even longer for the bridge to be repaired. We'll just have to change our route. At least the weather is changing and we can run outside.

In other excitement- it's been just over five weeks and Ike has started to come alive! Lots of big smiles- some coos- and great eye contact and focus. His zits are terrible- but I try to love him all the same :) We still can't tell at all who he looks like.

Little zebby is feeling much better- he just doesn't have much of a voice. The kid has been sleeping on his bed lately and the other night we had a bit of an adventure. With zeb's cough we had decided to divide and conquer the nighttime routine. I was in charge of Ike and Kent was in charge of Z. Kent went to check on Zeb in the middle of the night but he wasn't in his bed. He checked the front room couches...no Zeb. He checked our bed in case he'd snuck in... no zeb. Apparently he tried to wake me up to see if I knew where he was but I wouldn't budge. He went back to zeb's room and heard a little whimper but couldn't see anything. Finally after a thorough search he found the little rugrat curled up under the far corner of his bed against the wall. We have NO idea how he got there. The bed is WAY low to the ground and a full size mattress. It was no small feat for zeb to shimmy his way into the corner- and getting him out was equally as difficult. Little kids are so strange! Kent did a lot of sleep walking and talking as a child so it appears Zeb may take after his dad.

I totally thought you had posted an old picture of Kent at first glance of that pic of Zeb. Looks just like him, I think. :)

I still think Ike looks a bit like Hank. I can't tell that he has baby zits AT ALL! He is absolutely precious!

The flooded bridge is crazy!! Looks dangeroso!

If you're kinda devastated about the bridge, then we're really devasted about it! We became engaged on that bridge - a fact not publicly known until now.

Swan Creek metropark is where we first met.

Thanks for posting that picture. Let us know how the bridge repairs go.

How devestating about the bridge. Will definitely take time, and it was so pretty.
Ike though is so cute, growing fast

I would have thought he was kidnapped!
