My blurb blog book showed up yesterday! I couldn't be more pleased about it. It is exactly what I wanted. Simple- great quality- and very cool. It's so much better than a scrapbook (for me anyway). It's 102 pages- and covers our 2007 year. 2008 should be a lot longer unfortunately! I didn't start blogging until June of 2007- so really it only covers seven months.
Lots of my pages have multiple posts on them- and my picture/text layouts change throughout the book. There are definitely some layouts and picture sizes that I like better in it than others- which is nice to know for the next time around. Lots of lessons learned. I'll answer any questions and give pointers for anybody looking to do their own- just let me know.

That is so cool! I think this is definitely the scrapbooking of the future.
YEa! I am working on mine and hope to get it done next week!! I can't wait!
Did you get my email? I need some help!
Does it publish the comments people leave?
jess- sorry- I just emailed you back!!
and laney- nope- no comments. but it looks like some of the other online blog-book sites do. adding comments would add waaaay too many pages and too much work at getting everything to fit for me though.
Love it! I've checked out the site and I'm planning on doing a book too, so you may get a "help me!" shout out soon...good job but let's face it, what cute subjects to work with!
that is awesome! We have been without internet for awhile. How do we make our own?
I did one last year and am working on my second. I love them! It's so user-friendly, and the finished product is fabulous! Such a great keepsake. :)
That is so neat!! I want to do that with mine. What site did you use and how much did it cost you? You guys look like you are doing so great!! Hopeyou don't mind I have been checking out your blog.
Jessie
katie and jessie-
I use Blurb.com - it's definitely the best deal for your money- and pretty user friendly! I google searched for online coupon codes and got ten dollars off and it ended up costing 44 dollars (that included shipping). It's cheaper if you go soft cover instead of hard. Mine had 102 pages- and obviously the price changes with how many pages you do! happy blurbing!
So cool. I did a scrapblog book but I want to look into the blurb thing... did you print your blog posts from blogger?
Help me! Help me! So this is from all your post from Blogspot??I would love to have this too!!
I'm really wishing I didn't do so many slide shows when I first started blogger. What a hassel to get those into a book!
Can you leave me a comment on my blog with the website address for these books. Even in NZ I will consider sending to the States for one. I think they are an awesome idea
that's cool! I'll have to think about doing one of those. a great way to keep a journal!
I love the way yours turned out! It looks awesome! I started ours tonight and thought for sure all of it would fit into one book since I've only been blogging for a year and half. However after downloading, it ended up being 417 pages! Yikes! Looks like I have some condensing to do.
I want to see your book. Will you bring it to story time or some other event so I can check it out?
