thank heavens for house calls!

Little Zeb has a cough again (I swear the original cough never really went away) and he's a little wheezy this time around so I've been worried. He sounds like the broken squeaker penguin on toy story. Lucky for us our home teacher (steve weber) came by this evening and brought his equipment to check Z out. Hooray for home teacher doctors.
It seems Z has a cold. Just as we suspected...nothing fixable. When I'm sick and there's no solution I am okay dealing with it! I hate when we just have to wait it out with zeb! I get all paranoid thinking that he has RSV or Pneumonia or something worse like Ebola. He's still full of smiles and quite active so we'll just have to keep an eye on him and try to get him to sleep and to stay hydrated (lots of Gatorade, right dad?). The pediatrician told us that the average baby gets sick 4-10 times their first year. That means we may not even be halfway there yet. let's hope this is our third and final bug.

I'm totally jelous, I wish my hometeacher was a doctor. It would sure save me lots of money in co-pays. I know what you mean though, I am always worried about RSV and other nasty stuff.
I'm glad little Zeb only has a cold, good luck with the waiting it out!

Yuck, yuck, yuck. I wish babies were born with immunity to non-fixable sicknesses. Is he sleeping at night at least? It's so much harder for me to deal with a sick Emma during the day if she's kept me up all night. :(

Sick kids = ANXIETY!! Not always ... it just makes life slow down ... and laundry increase. :) Hope he's feelin' better soon.

I hate sick kids! It's too much worry. Every time Cohen has been sick the doctor has always asked, is Cohen around any other kids a lot. I guess that is why I am so bad at going to things anymore, I don't trust parents to keep there sick kids where they should! I hope Zeb gets feeling better, and sleeping better!

we are lucky that he is sleeping well! I only had to get up twice last night..once to change his diaper and once to give him a bottle. and I think that Kent and I are passing the germs to him! We are both around so many people and germs. The viruses don't bother us because our immune systems are strong enough but they love zeb! plus, I just go crazy sitting in our apartment and letting the germs circulate and recirculate through the air! I am guilty of taking my sick baby places that I probably shouldn't! I figure (or hope)that his immune system is just getting stronger and after he gets through this cold season he'll be immune to everything :)

I love Zeb's look in his eyes. He's like "Mom, what are you let being done to me?" I bet the stethescope was cold!!!
By the way, I don't mind when you still come to activities with Zeb when he or you are sick. I'll wash my hands a lot. It is more important for our sanity to get it. Zeb will build up his immune system really fast!!

Since Cohen is still so long, he is in 6 to 12 month now. But pants don't fit around his waist. What a scrawny kid I have! And I guess my problem is that I have been to the ER to much with Cohen to risk bad sicknesses! Plus once you have had pneumonia, it's real easy to get it again with just being around kids with colds. And that was not a fun experience.

Could this really be Leisy? This is Lindsay (Gunnell) Gassin from high school! I just was looking at a friends blog and POOF! There you were! How are you? Your little kiddo is darling. Hope he's feeling better.

Oooooh. I've heard that Dr. Weber is an EXPERT! (http://wellwellwells.blogspot.com/2008/01/expert.html)

There should be no shortage of MD's while you're in medical school - then Kent will be for real after that. That is nice!
