a little non patriotic today

I'm slightly non patriotic today because Kent is at school. He has class even though it's president's day. boo. So, in order to try and celebrate presidents, I am trying to figure out how to cast my vote on March 4. The primary is going to play a major role in the at least the Democratic election and I want to make my vote count. We don't have to declare a party until we actually cast our ballots that day and I am considering (planning on) affiliating myself as a democrat for the primary. Any thoughts? If I can't see my candidate put on the ticket, I may as well get the one off that I can't stand, right?!!

How excited I am that you found me. I am so excited to check out your little family and see how you guys are doing. Your little guy is adorable! I am sure that you have our blog address since you found us: hansenspuds.blogspot.com.

Tell your family hello. I found Laney's blog off of yours so I am very excited to see how both of you are doing.

I just ran into this girl in my ward who took O Chem from Dr. Kuchar...oh the good old days...he was so great....and those all nighter study sessions were great too:)

I totally understand the democratic sentiment now that Romney is out of the race. In Utah, you don't have to affiliate yourself as a democrat to vote on the democratic ticket, whereas if you want to vote republican, you have to affiliate. Is it different in Ohio? If it is the same, then you could just show up and vote democratic, without actually having to affiliate.

With all of the liberal views you support I thought you already were a declared Democrat!

Yep, we're voting democratic, too, this time.

The only problem with voting in someone you don't really believe in is that you have to take some of the blame when they win in the general election and start doing crazy stuff.

as long as "he/she who must not be named" doesn't take office I would be more than happy to take some blame for the actions of the person that does.

I agree with you Leisy. I think I'd do the same thing. Nothing could be worse than "he/SHE who must not be named!"

haha Rachael. :)

Ya know - I hear that this might be the first time in history that Utah actually chooses a democrat for office.

The McCain/Huckabee ticket is just not gonna cut it.

i agree, you should vote in the democratic party. However, I warn you, that if you register as a democrat, you may have a hard time ever finding a job in a republican whitehouse. but if you never plan to work in the whitehouse, you should be good to go.
