The tornado sirens went off!

it was just plain crazy! we were getting ready to head out to the "german-american" festival when the scariest clouds we've ever seen rolled in. The tornado sirens sounded and Kent and I watched the clouds from our balcony. I wish the pictures did justice, but they don't! The clouds were twisting and turning and rolling like crazy! and they were really low to the ground. it was one of the coolest things that I have ever seen. They say the tornado warning for this area is over now...rats huh? It's my dream to be in something cool like that.

Wow, that's amazing and scary! Hopefully you'll get to see a tornado from a long distance.

I hope you guys are viewing a tornado from a LOOOONG distance. Not up close and personal. Glad you're lovin' the rain. We sure could use some here.

I love torndadoes. If I could pick an alternate career (other than pirate or mob boss) and I wasn't married, I would choose professional tornado chaser. Yep, it would be awesome. If you think I'm crazy you're right and a wussy.

Those pictures look quite scary enough if you ask me!! Sheesh! What is a tornado siren? I remember being scared to death as a child that a tornado would come into Utah and get us all. Dad would always tell me, "We are so lucky to have the mountains. They will always protect us." Now, I know that SLC has experienced a tornado -- but, I say that exact same thing to Marissa (who probably worries about it more than I did)! She worries about a tornado coming every time there's even a little wind storm. I don't think I'll let her read this blog. You're always in all of our prayers, anyway. Course, I guess it wouldn't hurt to have her praying EXTRA for you guys, huh? :)

We are so different. You should have seen me the first time a siren went off out here. I was ready to grab Jansen and lay on top of him in the bathtub.
