hooray for the 5K

It isn't super easy to see, but our 5k trail this morning was the brown line! It covers mostly the left half of swan Creek park. I was the first (and only) stroller finisher :) Not too many people run with strollers here I guess. People were quite impressed. Yet another reason to love ohio! Whenever we go places Kent and I always feel like we stand out for some reason. It makes for great opportunities to talk to and meet lots of people.
The race went really well! It was freezing cold! Perfect weather for running, but afterwards the sweat nearly froze to our bodies! We came home and I jumped in a hot shower. It was the coldest morning thus far I believe. It was 42 degrees, but we had 86% percent humidity so it felt like 30 degrees to me. The chill from the humid air reminds me a lot of moscow!

Sorry no race pictures! We forgot our cameras in the rush to get out the door this morning. Little Zeb let us sleep till 8:20 and the race started at nine. And speaking of Zeb, he loved the race - and the racers loved Zeb. There were so many comments about a baby running the 5K. He was all prepped for the race in his new running shoes. Thanks gma pat! Too bad he never even got to use them, he crossed the finish line fast asleep.

Zeb is just so dang cute. He's lucky he's got some of the coolest parents around. Glad you all had fun on the 5k. That definitely counts as quality family time. Matt and I went running the other morning and got drenched--the storms come out of nowhere her. Still way fun though.
